About Peggy Mayfield

Peggy Mayfield and her husband Dean live in Martinsville, Indiana. They have 4 sons, Christopher (21), Andrew (20), Austin (16), and Michael (10), and are members of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Martinsville.

The Mayfields have owned and operated Mayfield Insurance in Mooresville for over two decades. The company is 91 years old and employs a staff of 12. Peggy and her family have been very active in the Boy Scouts of America. She serves on the Executive Board of Hoosier Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, is a member of the Order of the Arrow, and the recipient of the District Award of Merit. Peggy is a state skeet shooting champion and certified rifle and shotgun instructor, and hunter. She has also coached a youth clay target program.

Peggy Mayfield is in her 2nd term as Morgan County Clerk. In her role, she has greatly improved the office efficiency by reducing the need for election staff and operating under budget every year. She serves on the Executive Board of the Association of Circuit Court Clerks of Indiana and testifies regularly before the Indiana General Assembly on issues related to ballot access, the judiciary, and local government. She was nominated in 2011 for Clerk of the Year and again in 2012, which she won.

The Mayfields have been a host family to 7 exchange students through programs such as Rotary International Youth Exchange. Peggy is a certified skydiver and SCUBA diver. She also enjoys hunting, shooting, fishing, and spending time with her family and local Boy Scout Troop.
